Paul Cave is presented with
the 1995 Newcastle Gold
Cup by the legendary
trainer Bart Cummings

Paul Cave was raised in the heart of Irish horse racing and hunting country.

He was heavily involved in both Flat and National Hunt Racing when living in Ireland.

He came to Australia in the early 1970's and commenced training in 1975.

He has shown an extraordinary ability to place his team in the right races.

This is best demonstrated by the fact that in each of the last five seasons he has returned a better than 50% ratio of prizemoney cheques to starters.

This gives a clear indication that the training facilities are of the highest standard. The most recent addition being a new swimming pool opened in December 1996.

Horses are able to be trained away from the track in this semi rural setting with open country by the river available for exercise in addition to the well maintained training surfaces at the track.
